The return matches of the 1st round of the World Chess Cup held in Baku took place.

According to Report, according to their results, Ulviya Fataliyeva, Rauf Mammadov, Nijat Abasov, Gadir Huseynov, Vasif Durarbeyli, Gulnar Mammadova and Govkhar Beydullayeva advanced to the second round.

The competition according to the knockout system takes place in both men's and women's standings. In total, 309 players take part in the World Cup (206 in the men's section and 103 in the women's section). In both competitions, three tickets to the Candidates Tournament are up for grabs.

Note that August 1 is the day of the tie-break at the tournament. The second round starts on August 2. From this stage, our chess players Shakhriyar Mammadyarov, Teymur Radjabov, Gunay Mammadzade, including the leader of the world rating Magnus Carlsen, will enter the fight.
