World corruption ranking announced: Uzbekistan ranks 124th

A new ranking of the level of corruption in the world has been announced. According to Transparency International, countries are assessed based on the level of corruption in the public sector.

According to it, Uzbekistan ranked 124th with 31 points. Although the country has made some improvements in the fight against corruption, the problem still remains relevant. Among the Central Asian countries, Kazakhstan showed the best result with 96th place. Kyrgyzstan is in 142nd place, Tajikistan is in 166th place, and Turkmenistan is in 167th place.

The rating is based on a scale from 0 to 100: 0 means high corruption, 100 means a system without corruption. The average indicator for the world is 42 points. Denmark, Finland, Singapore and New Zealand are the least corrupt countries, while South Sudan has the lowest score.
