Work-related stress kills 840,000 people every year

More than 840,000 people die each year from work-related stress and psychosocial problems, according to a report by the International Labor Organization.

Experts say that long working hours, pressure, safety issues, and poor working conditions contribute to cardiovascular disease and mental health problems. In some cases, this can lead to suicide.

According to data, working more than 55 hours a week increases the risk of stroke by 35 percent and the risk of death from heart disease by 17 percent. Also, 12 billion working days are lost worldwide every year due to depression and anxiety. Experts emphasize the need to standardize working hours, properly distribute workloads, and provide employees with timely psychological support.
