Woody and Buzz Are Back! Pixar Releases the Trailer for “Toy Story 5”

Pixar Animation Studios has officially announced the release date and unveiled the first teaser trailer for “Toy Story 5.”
The film is directed by Andrew Stanton, the visionary behind hits like “Finding Nemo,” “WALL·E,” and “Finding Dory.”

 Teaser Details

In the teaser, the beloved toys meet a new character named Lilypad — a “frog-shaped smart tablet.”
Thanks to her high-tech abilities, Lilypad complicates things for Woody, Buzz, Jessie, and the rest of the gang.
The toys must once again face a new threat that could change their world forever.

 A Look Back

The first Toy Story premiered in 1995, becoming the first-ever fully computer-animated feature film.
Its sequel in 1999 and Disney’s acquisition of Pixar in 2006 turned the franchise into a global phenomenon.

Later entries — “Toy Story 3” (2010) and “Toy Story 4” (2019) — each grossed over $1 billion worldwide and both won the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature.

Toy Story 5 will be Pixar’s 31st full-length feature film, set to hit theaters on June 19, 2026.
