Women were forbidden to bargain with vendors

The Taliban's Ministry of Virtue and Prevention of Virtue has tightened restrictions on women. In Afghanistan, women are now prohibited from bargaining with vendors. The morality police in some provinces have issued appropriate orders to men regarding their wives. They claimed that when the women haggled with the vendors, their voices could be heard by male strangers and that this "seduced the men."
