Woman who beat teacher in Syrdarya admitted to psychiatric hospital

We previously reported that a woman in Syrdarya beat a teacher during a lesson and later apologized for her actions. An administrative case was initiated in accordance with the relevant articles of the Code of Administrative Responsibility and was considered in the Syrdarya District Court for Criminal Cases. The court was presented with a psychiatric examination report issued by the regional psychiatric hospital. According to this examination report, the woman suffered from a mild degree of mental retardation and was unable to answer for her actions at the time of the offense. The court sentenced the woman to compulsory treatment in a general psychiatric hospital and the woman was hospitalized.
