Woman stabs 3-year-old girl to death in market

On May 1, a woman stabbed a 3-year-old girl to death with a kitchen knife for no apparent reason at a market in the Denov district of Surkhandarya region. This was reported by the press secretary of the Prosecutor General's Office.

The girl died from her injuries at the district medical institution. A criminal case has been initiated against the woman under Article 97 of the Criminal Code (intentional murder).

According to preliminary information, the suspect was registered at a mental health clinic.

Investigative actions are currently underway.
