Woman sentenced to 4 years for beating husband in Samarkand

A woman named Kh.H., who lives in the Kattakurgan district of Samarkand, was sentenced to 4 years in prison for hitting her husband in the left eye with a stone, causing serious bodily injury.
According to the court, on January 11, 2025, during a family quarrel, she caused her husband to lose 35 percent of his total working capacity. In court, the woman stated that her husband was an alcoholic and constantly beat her, did not work anywhere, and took care of the family only on himself, which is why the two of them constantly quarreled, and that is why there was a quarrel on this day.
The woman was found guilty under Article 126, Part 7, Clause “j” (domestic violence) of the Criminal Code and was sentenced to 4 years in prison.
