Woman jailed for three days after beating her 10-year-old son
A woman in Syrdarya Region has been sentenced to three days of administrative detention for beating her 10-year-old son with a clothes hanger after he failed to attend a school extracurricular club.
According to reports, she struck the child several times on the head and other parts of his body while he was playing outside. A forensic medical examination found that the boy sustained minor injuries that did not cause short-term health impairment.
The court found the woman guilty under Part 2 of Article 59-2 of Uzbekistan's Code of Administrative Responsibility and imposed a three-day administrative arrest.
She was also warned that repeating such actions could result in criminal liability.
