Woman beats her baby to scare her ex-husband

Videos of a mother beating her infant child have been circulating on social media. It turned out that the incident occurred a year ago in Surkhandarya. In May 2024, a 24-year-old woman living in Saryosiyo district sent a video of her beating her baby daughter after a fight with her ex-husband, who did not provide alimony and other financial support for the child, and threatened to kill her. “I gave birth to her myself, I will kill her myself,” the correspondence in which the video of the baby was sent said.
For this act, the woman was found guilty of committing a crime under the relevant articles of the Code of Administrative Offenses, and the issue of her liability was resolved by the Saryosiyo District Court for Criminal Cases.
The woman is currently in a conflict with her ex-husband and his family members, and preliminary investigations are underway in this regard.
