As part of the state visit of the Founder of Peace and National Unity, the Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, dear Emomali Rahmon, to the Republic of Kazakhstan, a Business forum of Tajikistan and Kazakhstan was held in Astana.
The forum was attended by representatives of relevant government agencies and business circles of Tajikistan and Kazakhstan, a total of more than 200 entrepreneurs and representatives of companies and enterprises of various fields of activity between the two states.
The Business Forum began with an introductory speech by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan Ziezod Sulaimon and Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Zhumangarin Serik.
In continuation of the forum, Minister of Industry and New Technologies of the Republic of Tajikistan Sherali Kabir, Minister of Agriculture Kurbon Hakimzoda, Chairman of the State Committee for Investment and State Property Management Sadi Kodirzoda and Chairman of the Committee for Environmental Protection Bahodur Sheralizoda presented opportunities and conditions for investment and cooperation between Tajikistan and Kazakhstan in the fields of industry and new technologies, agriculture agriculture, environmental protection, export, construction of logistics centers and wholesale distribution centers. During the forum, the parties agreed to establish joint production enterprises in the free economic zones of Tajikistan, including in the Free Economic Zone of Kulyab, with investments from the Kazakh side, and concluded long-term contracts confirming the real trust and confidence of the Kazakh business sector and commercial companies in investing in the economy of Tajikistan.
In accordance with the agreement, the parties will also sign long-term contracts in the mining and metallurgical industry and carry out commodity exchange of products.
Within the framework of the state visit of the Founder of Peace and National Unity, the Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon to the Republic of Kazakhstan, the third meeting of the Working Council of Tajikistan and Kazakhstan was also held, the purpose of which was to review the situation and search for new and effective ways of interstate trade and economic cooperation.
The Chairman of the Tourism Development Committee under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan Kamoliddin Mu'minzod, Director of the Export Agency Bahriddin Sirodjiddinzoda and Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tajikistan Jamshed Jurahonzoda made useful suggestions and recommendations on the priorities of cooperation and investment in the fields of trade, economy, tourism, export and logistics.
It should be noted that the Republic of Kazakhstan is a reliable strategic partner of Tajikistan. Today, Kazakhstan ranks second among Tajikistan's foreign trade partners in terms of trade turnover.
Opportunities and favorable conditions have been created in the relations between Tajikistan and Kazakhstan to strengthen economic cooperation, the trade turnover between the two states has increased by $263 million or more by 20 percent over the past year and amounted to almost $ 1.5 billion.
