🌊Will the Aral Sea return?

The Aral Sea was the fourth largest sea in the world in the 1960s. But the endless “productivity” passion of man sacrificed nature – the rivers were diverted, the sea water was pulled. Today, this tragedy has a strong impact on ecology and the way the population lives.The Aral Sea was the fourth largest sea in the world in the 1960s. But the endless “productivity” passion of man sacrificed nature – the rivers were diverted, the sea water was pulled. Today, this tragedy has a strong impact on ecology and the way the population lives. 

In order to improve the economy of Karakalpakstan by developing highways, on August 20, the international highway project “visit to the island” was implemented, organized by the Tourism Committee and with the cooperation of SamAuto and with the support of Tegeta Motors. 
Over the course of 8 days, more than 70 participants visited Nukus, Moynok, the island-side region, Bukhara, Khiva and Navoi regions in about 30 roadless cars and got acquainted with the tourist attractions, environmental problems of the region and the lifestyle of local residents.
