On January 17, wild dogs attacked an 11-year-old boy in the city of Yangiyul, Tashkent region, biting him in several places. The boy was rescued with the help of bystanders and taken to the hospital. The emergency medical center found injuries to the boy's face, head, arms and legs, and he underwent emergency surgery and primary surgical procedures. The boy is currently being treated in the ward and is receiving psychological support; plastic surgery is planned for later. Health workers are vaccinating the boy against rabies and tetanus.
Following the incident, the Yangiyul Improvement Department has stepped up its efforts to catch wild dogs in the area, with more than 60 dogs being caught in the past two days.
