ALMATY, Aug 18 — Sputnik. The families of the deceased miners will receive financial assistance in the amount of 10-year salaries. They will also purchase housing for the families of the victims and help with the education of children.
All these measures are provided for in the Collective Agreement, Chairman of the Labor and Social Protection Committee of the Ministry of Labor, Chief State Labor Inspector of Kazakhstan Tolegen Ospankulov said.
He noted that all assistance is provided under the Collective Agreement between the employee and the employer for 2022-24.
"As for the 11 people who are currently receiving treatment in the hospital, they are fully paid sick leave, one hundred percent, although by law it is 25%. The company will fully cover the costs of treatment until recovery. If they get a disability, then in this case, of course, assistance will be provided within the framework of other social projects," Tolegen Ospankulov said at a briefing.

Recall that on August 17 at 10.05 in the Kazakhstanskaya mine, a conveyor belt caught fire. At the time of the emergency, 227 people were underground, 222 miners were brought to the surface, the bodies of two people were found, three more are being searched. The number of victims in the Kazakhstanskaya mine has grown to 13, 11 of them are in hospitals in the Karaganda region.
