“We will fight until the end” — Fabio Cannavaro

Uzbekistan national team head coach Fabio Cannavaro shared his thoughts after the World Cup draw:
“This is the World Cup — anything can happen regardless of who we play against. There is excitement, and I hope we will fight until the end,” he said.

Yesterday, on December 5, the draw for the 2026 FIFA World Cup was held. Uzbekistan, led by Fabio Cannavaro, was placed in Group “K”. The “White Wolves” will face the following opponents:

1. June 17 — Colombia (Mexico, Azteca Stadium)

2. June 23 — Portugal (Guadalajara, Guadalajara Stadium)

3. June 27 — Congo/Jamaica/New Caledonia (Miami or Atlanta)

For reference, the World Cup will take place from June 11 to July 19 in the USA, Canada, and Mexico. A total of 48 teams will compete for the title.
