The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan issued an official statement regarding the death of many people and large-scale destruction caused by the earthquake in the western regions of Afghanistan. According to the US Geological Survey, earthquakes occurred in Herat on October 7 at 11:00 local time (10:30 in Tashkent) with an interval of 8 minutes. The magnitude of the earthquakes ranged from 4.6 to 6.3 points.
