Volkswagen expands car models produced in Uzbekistan

Volkswagen AG and Uzavtosanoat will launch car production in Uzbekistan. This was stated in a new agreement signed between the two parties as part of the IV Tashkent International Investment Forum.

The project will produce sedans and crossovers, mass production is planned to begin at the end of 2025.

According to a Volkswagen representative, Uzbekistan can become an export center in the region. Localization and technology transfer are also envisaged.

Volkswagen has been assembling Caddy and Skoda Kodiaq models in Jizzakh since 2019. At the new stage, the company will operate under the name Alyans Auto.
