Volcano in Kamchatka wakes up after 600 years

The Krashennikov volcano on the Kamchatka Peninsula in Russia first moved after nearly 600 years. Smoke from the volcano rose to a height of 6,000 meters. Experts say that this volcanic eruption may be associated with an earthquake that recently occurred in the far east of Russia. According to the Kamchatka Monitoring team, the krashennikov volcano was last fired in about 1463.
