Now citizens of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan can stay in each other's territory for up to 30 days without registration. Citizens of one party state, regardless of their place of permanent residence, may enter, leave, transit, and move through the territory of another party state if their stay does not exceed 30 calendar days.
If the period of stay of a citizen in the territory of the second party country is more than 30 calendar days, this citizen must obtain a permit for temporary residence (temporary registration) from the competent authorities of the country.
Previously, Uzbeks could stay in Kazakhstan for only 5 days without registration.
