Veteran Actor James Handy Stabbed to Death in the United States

Veteran actor James Handy, 81, was fatally stabbed in Los Angeles, California. The incident was reported by Variety, citing law enforcement sources.

The attack occurred in the Tarzana neighborhood of Los Angeles. According to preliminary investigation findings, Handy was allegedly attacked by 44-year-old Michael Gledhill, the son of the actor’s partner.

Police said the suspect called emergency services himself after the incident and admitted to the killing. Responding officers found Handy in the yard of his home with a stab wound to the chest. He was rushed to a hospital but was later pronounced dead.

Michael Gledhill was taken into custody on suspicion of murder. He reportedly lived in the same house with his mother and Handy. The investigation remains ongoing.

James Handy was a respected character actor in American film and television, appearing in numerous movies and TV series throughout his career. He was known for his roles as a bartender in Top Gun: Maverick, an exterminator in Jumanji, and a doctor in Logan.
