Vazira Yunusova Surprised That Her 36 Years in the Arts Have Not Been Recognized with an Award

Renowned Uzbek theater and film actress Vazira Yunusova, a member of the Uzbek National Academic Drama Theatre, shared her thoughts on not having received an honorary title in an interview with the publication Darakchi.

The actress said:

“I was upset. It has been 36 years. I joined the theater in 1991, and I am surprised that my efforts and work have not been properly recognized.”

She added:

“Even though I may not have played a Hero or Heroine (‘Qahramon’ — editor’s note by San’at Dunyosi), I rehearsed and worked just as hard as everyone else.”

According to the artist, she would have been pleased if her work and creative achievements had received the recognition they deserve.
