Valuable artworks stolen from Renoir museum in France
Three artworks valued at 9 million euros have been stolen from the Renoir museum in France.
On September 8, two thieves broke into the museum dedicated to the French Impressionist painter Pierre-Auguste Renoir and made off with four paintings; however, one was dropped during their escape. Police arrived at the scene five minutes after the alarm was triggered. The suspects are being sought, and the investigation is ongoing.
The Renoir museum was established in 1960 in the house where the artist Pierre-Auguste Renoir lived before his death in 1919.
