The 5th International Engineering Summit of the Turkic World, aimed at fostering cooperation in engineering, technology, and manufacturing among the countries of the Turkic world, will take place in Tashkent from October 25 to 28, 2026. This was announced to CASIA.UZ by the Embassy of Turkey in Uzbekistan.

Organized by the Association of Turkish Engineers in primary partnership with the Uzbekistan-Turkey Business Association (UTİD), the summit will bring together engineers, academics, government officials, and representatives of technology companies from Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, and Hungary. Under the theme "A Shared Future in Engineering and Technology," the summit will cover topics such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, the defense industry, telecommunications, energy, and construction. Particular emphasis will be placed on developing joint investments, technology transfers, and research and development opportunities through bilateral business meetings. Furthermore, the summit will address strategic cooperation initiatives, such as the development of common engineering standards, the establishment of joint research and development centers, and the creation of a unified pool of engineers from Turkic states. The summit, to be held in Tashkent, is expected to contribute to strengthening scientific and technical cooperation among Turkic states, enhancing joint production capacity, and fostering long-term economic partnerships. For reference, the International Engineering Summit of the Turkic World aims to unite engineers from Turkic states on a single platform and create new opportunities in the fields of employment and education. The inaugural Turkic World Engineering Summit was held in Ankara in 2024.
