Uzbekistan voted in the UN for the illegality of Israeli settlements in the Palestinian territories

UN member states voted to declare Israeli settlements in the occupied Palestinian territories illegal. It was supported by 145 states, including Uzbekistan. Only seven countries opposed the resolution: the United States, Canada, Israel, Hungary, Micronesia, the Marshall Islands and Nauru. 18 countries abstained, and another 21 countries did not vote at all. The UN expresses "deep concern about the grave situation in the Israeli-Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem, caused by illegal actions and measures, and calls for the immediate cessation of all illegal Israeli settlements and the construction of the wall, the lifting of the blockade of the Gaza Strip, the use of excessive and unintended force against the civilian population and a complete cessation of hostilities, violence by settlers, provocations and calls to shrines, destruction and confiscation of property, forced eviction of civilians, Calls for the arrest or imprisonment of thousands of civilians and an end to all collective punishments against Palestinian civilians."
