The cheapest price in Central Asia and the CIS is in Kyrgyzstan - $0.17 per 1 GB. The country fell two places from last year and took the 8th place. Kazakhstan ranked 35th with an index of $0.41. The average price of 1GB of Internet in Tajikistan is $1.65, and it ranks 142nd in the world. The most expensive internet in Central Asia is in Turkmenistan - $11.42 per 1 GB. The country ranks 231st in the world. The cheapest mobile internet in Israel is $0.02 per 1 GB. Italy ($0.09), Fiji ($0.09), San Marino ($0.10) and Cambodia ($0.12) followed. The most expensive mobile internet belongs to Zimbabwe ($43.75), Falkland Islands ($40.58) and Saint Helena ($40.13). Internet speed in Uzbekistan In December 2022, the Minister of Digital Technologies Sherzod Shermatov announced that the number of Internet service users in Uzbekistan has increased to 31 million. According to the minister, in order to develop the international and long-distance telecommunications network, the total bandwidth of the international Internet network was increased by 2.6 times to 3,200 Gbit/s. In 2022, the Republic was ranked 155th in the world in terms of wired internet speed. In 2023, the results changed and rose to 131st place. That is, there was an increase of 24 points compared to last year's rating. Wired internet speed in Uzbekistan is 21.67 Mbit/s. It was also announced that starting from March 2023 in Uzbekistan, the speed of mobile internet will be increased and 5G technology will be introduced throughout the country.
