Uzbekistan ranked 36th in the annual World Charity Index compiled by the Charities Aid Foundation. According to the rating compilers, in 2022, 59% of the population of Uzbekistan (adults) helped strangers, 58% donated money, and 18% participated as volunteers in charity events. In general, this gave Uzbekistan 45 points in the rating. Among the Central Asian countries, Tajikistan is the leader in the ranking - 24th place. Kyrgyzstan is ranked 34th, and Kazakhstan is ranked 107th. Indonesia is the leader in the ranking for the sixth year in a row. Ukraine suddenly rose 13 places and took second place. Kenya, Liberia, USA, Myanmar, Kuwait, Canada, Nigeria and New Zealand are also in the top ten of the rating. The lowest ranks are occupied by Moldova, Russia, Mali, Georgia, Bangladesh, Mozambique, Kazakhstan and Botswana. In this rating, Uzbekistan took 28th place in 2014, 27th place in 2015, 11th place in 2016, and 38th place in 2017.
