Uzbekistan to reward those who report drug crimes

In accordance with the decree of the President of Uzbekistan, citizens who help detect crimes will be rewarded. The Ministry of Internal Affairs will train preventive inspectors in identifying illegal drug laboratories and makeshift packaging workshops in neighborhoods by the end of 2025. Employees who have performed effectively will be encouraged with extrabudgetary funds.
Also, by March 1, 2026, rapid express inspection equipment will be purchased and put into practice. Punitive measures against illegal drugs will be strengthened, and responsibility for those who involve young people will be increased. The decision is aimed at effectively strengthening the detection, prevention and preventive activities of drug crimes.
