Uzbekistan tightens penalties for drug trafficking

The President has signed a new law aimed at strengthening the fight against drug trafficking. The document focuses on taking strict measures against modern methods of drug distribution, increasing penalties for this type of crime, and protecting minors.

It is noted that drugs pose a serious threat to human health, the future of families and children, and have a negative impact on the country's gene pool. Shavkat Mirziyoyev also said that he has personally taken this issue under his control and called on all segments of society to jointly fight this threat.
