Uzbekistan’s first association of women judges established

Head of the Presidential Administration Saida Mirziyoyeva, participating in an event dedicated to March 10 — International Women’s Judges Day — in Tashkent on March 5, warmly congratulated everyone on the establishment of the Uzbekistan Association of Women Judges for the first time in the country’s history. Mirziyoyeva emphasized that the law must work equally for everyone in Uzbekistan, and that violence against women and children is absolutely unacceptable.

“I would like every girl in any region of Uzbekistan to know this. If, God forbid, trouble happens to her, the law will not turn away from her. Every woman should know that no one can force her to silently endure oppression. Every child should be aware. The state is obliged to protect her,” Mirziyoyeva said.

At the event, female judges and veterans were awarded state awards.
