Uzbekistan pension fund became a member of the International Organization

The General Assembly of the International Social Security Association approved the application of the extra-budgetary Pension Fund under the Ministry of Economy and finance of Uzbekistan to join the organization. This was reported by the press service of the foundation.

It is noted that the International Social Security Association, founded in 1927, is a leading international organization for the implementation of unified policies in the field of social protection of the population. It brings together about 320 National Social Security institutions from 160 countries within its framework. In the social sphere, a number of international organizations work closely with, first of all, the International Labor Organization, the UN Economic and Social Council, the World Health Organization and other institutions related to the sphere.

The positive aspects of membership in the International Social Security Association are aimed at accessing standards recognized in Social Security Management and ensuring the guarantee of the rights of migrants in the field of social protection security on the territory of countries affiliated with the International Social Security Association.

Also, the study of international guidance and good practice solutions to obtain the International Social Security Association's certificate of excellence in the social sphere is included in the core values of the organization.

For information, new pensions and benefits were assigned to 201,216 citizens in Uzbekistan in half a year. Of this, 121,620 were assigned age pensions, 15,326 disability pensions, 9,255 family loss pensions, and 55,015 citizen benefits.
