"Uzbekistan Neighborhood" and Shavkat Mirziyoyev Boulevard Opened in Hatay

The grand opening ceremony of the "Uzbekistan Neighborhood" established on the basis of a residential complex built by Uzbekistan, as well as Shavkat Mirziyoyev Boulevard and Tashkent and Samarkand streets, was held in the Arsuz district of the Hatay region of Turkey.

The event was attended by a delegation led by the Speaker of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan Nuriddin Ismailov, Khorezm Region Governor Jurabek Rakhimov, Chairman of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Numan Kurtulmus, Hatay Region Governor Mustafa Masatli, and representatives of the public.

During the ceremony, the Speaker of the Turkish Parliament Numan Kurtulmus noted that the perpetuation of names reflecting the history and culture of Uzbekistan in Arsuz is a symbol of friendship and brotherhood between the two peoples. According to him, this initiative is an expression of gratitude to the Uzbek people who supported Turkey in difficult times.

Hatay Governor Mustafa Masatli, in turn, stated that the Turkish people will not forget the assistance provided by Uzbekistan after the strong earthquake on February 6, 2023, noting that the name "Uzbekistan Neighborhood" is a symbol of eternal friendship between the two peoples.

At the end of the ceremony, a ribbon was cut to symbolize the opening of Shavkat Mirziyoyev Boulevard, Tashkent and Samarkand streets. This complex is one of the important projects within the framework of Uzbekistan's humanitarian assistance aimed at the reconstruction of Hatay, and is considered another vivid expression of the strategic partnership and brotherly relations between the two countries.
