Uzbekistan national team awarded for historic achievement

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev awarded the members of the national team on the occasion of their first-ever qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the United States, Canada and Mexico.

The head coach of the national team, Timur Kapadze, and 25 players were awarded the honorary title "Pride of Uzbekistan". The team's former head coach, Srechko Katanez, was awarded the Order of Friendship.

The team's coaching staff, doctors, translators, media and marketing staff also received various state awards.
