 Uzbekistan-Italy relations at a new stage in Samarkand

 

On May 29, Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni signed a joint declaration on strengthening their strategic partnership.
The following documents were also signed:
▪️On investment promotion and mutual protection;
▪️On cooperation in the field of strategically important raw materials;
▪️On cooperation in the field of migration and freedom of movement;
▪️On cooperation in the fields of sustainable development and environmental protection, as well as the preservation of cultural heritage;
▪️On cooperation with the Climate Fund and the Italian Agricultural Confederation, and on cooperation in the field of "green" development with the companies Sogesid and Ansaldo.

Partnership agreements were also signed with Italian universities and companies. Following the negotiations, a solemn ceremony was held at the International Congress Center to name a street in Samarkand after the city of Rome.
