According to the results of the first six months of 2023, the supply of oil, oil products and similar materials from Uzbekistan abroad increased by 85.9% - up to $115.7 million, Ferghana reports with reference to the Statistics Agency.
Gas exports decreased by 35.2% and amounted to $278.4 million. Non-monetary gold was sold for $4.375 billion, which exceeds the same period last year by 47.3%. Deliveries of cars abroad increased by 52%, amounting to $228.7 million in monetary terms. Exports of textiles (yarn, finished products), which were sold for $1.079 billion, decreased by 14%.
In the structure of imports, natural and artificial gas ($200 million, an increase of 2.6 times), fertilizers ($107.3 million, an increase of 2.3 times), vegetable oils ($175.6 million, an increase of 96%), cars ($620 million, an increase of 56.7%), drinks ($54 million, an increase of 52.3%), sugar and confectionery ($265.6 million, an increase of 25 .9%), cereals ($611.6 million, up 20%) and so on.
In the first half of the year, Uzbekistan's foreign trade turnover reached $29.17 billion, which is $4.7 billion or 19.4% more than the same period last year.
Exports amounted to $12.14 billion (an increase of 23%), imports of $17.03 billion (an increase of 17%).
The main trading partners of Uzbekistan were: China (trade volume - $5.276 billion), Russia ($4.41 billion), Kazakhstan ($2.19 billion), Turkey ($1.49 billion) and South Korea ($1.03 billion).
The largest volume of imports falls on China ($4.237 billion), exports - on Russia ($1.279 billion).
Foreign trade turnover with the EAEU countries amounted to $7.411 billion, including exports - $2.414 billion, imports - $4.996 billion.
Earlier, the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev instructed to increase in 2023 by 50% - 60% the volume of exports in such industries as electrical engineering, textiles, building materials, the leather and footwear industry, agriculture and pharmaceuticals.
