Uzbekistan ranked 94th out of 177 in the global Women's Peace and security Index, according to the WPS Index.

Compared to 2021, the country has dropped by 20 positions. The index is based on three indicators: engagement, fairness and security.

What does the situation look like in other Central Asian countries:

Turkmenistan — 58th place;

The leaders of the WPS index were Denmark, Switzerland and Sweden. Afghanistan was recognized as the most unsafe country for women.
