Uzbekistan Demands Protection of Its Migrants’ Rights in Russia

On January 26, a meeting was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan with Russian Ambassador Alexey Yerhov. During the meeting, the Uzbek side demanded the protection of the rights and legal interests of citizens working in Russia.

It was emphasized that during migration inspections and raids, citizens’ human dignity must be respected, and equal procedures should apply to both law-abiding individuals and violators. The sides agreed to continue ensuring favorable working conditions for Uzbek citizens in Russia and to strengthen consular cooperation.
