Uzbekistan became the champion at the 46th World Chess Olympiad.

The Uzbekistan national team won the gold medal at the 46th World Chess Olympiad held in Samarkand. This marked Uzbekistan's second championship title in the history of the Chess Olympiad.
Uzbekistan mathematically secured the championship before the conclusion of their final-round match against Ukraine. This was made possible by India's 2–2 draw with Hungary.
The national team won its first seven rounds. In subsequent matches, Uzbekistan drew against Germany and defeated the USA and Armenia. The team roster included Javokhir Sindarov, Nodirbek Abdusattorov, Nodirbek Yakubboev, Shamsiddin Vokhidov, and Muhiddin Madaminov. The team was captained by former world champion Rustam Kasimdzhanov.
Uzbekistan had previously won the Olympiad title in Chennai in 2022 and secured the bronze medal at the 2024 tournament.
