Uzbekistan and Qatar cooperate in the field of higher education

Uzbekistan cooperates with Qatar in the field of higher education and scientific research. This was stated in the presidential decision "On approval of the international agreement" signed on September 13.
According to the decision, an agreement on cooperation in the field of higher education and scientific research was approved between the governments of Uzbekistan and Qatar. This agreement was signed on June 6, 2023, when the emir of Qatar visited the city of Samarkand.

The Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation was designated as the competent body responsible for the implementation of the international agreement.

After the entry into force of this international agreement, the Cabinet of Ministers and the heads of relevant ministries and departments shall ensure control over the implementation of its provisions in the prescribed manner.

Let's remind that in June, Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Sani, the emir of Qatar, who came to Uzbekistan on a state visit, held talks in Samarkand. At the end of the negotiations, 15 documents aimed at the development of cooperation in trade-economic, investment, cultural-humanitarian and other spheres were signed.
