Uzbekistan and OSCE cooperation enters a new stage

On May 21, the President received the Secretary General of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), Feridun Sinirlioglu, who arrived on an official visit. The meeting discussed issues of further developing cooperation in the economic, environmental, political and humanitarian areas. The results of joint projects on combating transnational threats, reforming the judicial system, gender equality, protecting human rights and developing the media were particularly noted.

Views were also exchanged on expanding cooperation in the areas of combating cybercrime, digitalization, developing artificial intelligence, supporting youth and promoting the "green" agenda. At the end of the negotiations, it was agreed to develop a new "roadmap" for cooperation and hold a number of joint events in Uzbekistan and within the OSCE.
