Uzbekistan and Britain discussed the issue of regional security

The special representative of the President of Uzbekistan and the Minister of the Armed Forces of Great Britain discussed regional security issues, including the situation in Afghanistan.
Yesterday, a meeting was held between the special representative of the President of Uzbekistan on Afghanistan, Ismatulla Ergashev, and the Minister of the Armed Forces of Great Britain, James Hippie.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during the dialogue, the current level of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Great Britain, regional security issues, including the situation in Afghanistan, were discussed.

James Hippie highly appreciated the efforts of Uzbekistan to strengthen its regional position on Afghanistan, to establish long-term peace and stability in this country, as well as to provide humanitarian assistance to the Afghan people.

It was noted that Great Britain is ready to continue active cooperation with Uzbekistan in the field of Afghanistan.
