Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan: Economic Partnership Enters a New Stage

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, who arrived in Tashkent to participate in the seventh Consultative Meeting of Central Asian Leaders. The two sides discussed the implementation of agreements reached during Mirziyoyev’s July visit to Baku, as well as issues related to expanding the strategic partnership and strengthening allied relations between the two countries.

It was reported that since the beginning of this year, the volume of trade between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan has increased by 15 percent. Joint industrial projects in the automotive industry, energy, tourism, and other sectors are actively continuing. During the meeting, the leaders also discussed plans for upcoming high-level events.
