Uzbekistan Airways responded to the senator's criticism of “bureaucracy " in ticket sales

At the plenary session of the Senate of the House of Commons on September 29, the problem of obtaining tickets from airline tickets affiliated to Uzbekistan Airways was criticized. The airline reacted to this situation with the purchase of tickets.

It is reported that the current regulatory documents (regulations and instructions) governing the sale of passenger air travel to airline flights do not contain clauses requiring air carriers to issue air tickets based on the original of passenger identity documents. Air ticket sales at the Uzbekistan Airways Sales branch or airline agents are carried out both on the basis of the originals of passenger identity cards and on the basis of their photocopies.

“In addition, the airline is actively developing the sale of air tickets through the official internet site and mobile application, in which the data of passengers is entered into the system directly by the person formalizing the air ticket. It should be noted that all specified information must be entered into the booking system without errors in strict accordance with the passenger's identity document. For the correctness of the entered information, the person who makes the payment to the carriage will be responsible, since it will be impossible to buy an air ticket without observing this condition,” the relationship said.

It is noted that in order not to impose fine sanctions on the passenger and airline when selling air tickets to distant foreign countries, where a visa regime is introduced for citizens of Uzbekistan, a passport with the current visa of the specified country is required at the aircraft carriers and airline agents of the Uzbekistan Airways Sales branch.

“Any inaccuracies and inconsistencies in the ticket and passport data can lead to fines or the sending of a passenger back to the country of departure due to the lack of grounds for entry. For this reason, it is very important that the specified data of the passenger and the valid visas of the country of departure are correctly entered by the client when issuing or online registration of air tickets by the cashier,” the message notes.

Also, the specified data of the passenger at the time of registration of the passenger to the service is re-entered into the system directly from the original passport by the registration agents of the surface Service services of the airports of Uzbekistan.

Taking into account the questions and misunderstandings that have arisen, the next note was sent by JSC Uzbekistan Airways to all agents for the sale of air tickets in Uzbekistan and beyond, that when buying air tickets, passengers or their loved ones did not need to provide originals of passenger identity documents.

On the basis of the appeal to the committee, the chairman of the committee on defense and security issues Qutbiddin Burkhanov said that the reasons for some problems with the activities of aircraft carriers under Uzbekistan Airways JSC were initially studied, and said that outdated bureaucratic methods still remain in the sale of air tickets.
