The head of Kyrgyzstan, Sadir Japarov, shared the information that in 2021, Uzbekistan gave Kyrgyzstan a MI-8MTV military helicopter free of charge. In addition, another similar aircraft was sent to the Chirchik aircraft repair plant for overhaul, and the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Uzbekistan fully undertook the process of its reconstruction. Recently, the relevant structures of Uzbekistan announced that the MI-8MTV has been fully repaired and is ready for use, Sputnik Kyrgyzstan writes. Specialists of the Ministry of Defense of Kyrgyzstan received this helicopter and brought it from Chirchik to Chirchik - Osh, Osh - Bishkek and confirmed its readiness for active use. The leader of Kyrgyzstan expressed deep gratitude to the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, for replenishing the air force fleet of the Kyrgyz Republic.
