Uzbekfilm’s tax debt of more than 1 billion soums has been fully repaid
Jahongir Ahmedov, Director of the Cinematography Agency, announced that Uzbekfilm’s tax debt of more than 1 billion soums has been fully repaid.
In addition, 12 vehicles that were planned to be put up for auction have been returned to the film studio. The next step is to repay more than 3 billion soums in outstanding salaries owed to employees.
One of Uzbekfilm’s biggest remaining problems is a €22 million loan obligation. It was reported that work is underway with relevant government agencies to release the film studio and its 10-hectare plot of land from collateral and resolve the loan issue.
