Rosa, an Uzbek woman who was sexually abused by Jeffrey Epstein, has revealed her ordeal. The Telegraph, BBC and The Independent reported.
Testifying at a hearing in the US House of Representatives, Rosa, who for years went by the name “Jane Doe,” said she grew up in a low-income family in Uzbekistan and was lured to the US at the age of 18 with the promise of a modelling career. She said she was brought to New York on a “talent visa” by Epstein’s partner, modelling agent Jean-Luc Brunel. The victim said she met Epstein in Florida and that he abused her, despite the fact that he was under house arrest at the time. “For the next three years, I was a victim of regular abuse,” Rosa said.
She said Epstein threatened her with her visa status and financial situation to keep her from leaving. Rosa also criticized the U.S. Department of Justice for not redacting the names of victims in Epstein's case files.
Jeffrey Epstein was under investigation for sex crimes against minors since 2005. He died in prison in 2019, while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges.
