Uzbek scientists have created a material that cleans air and water
Scientists from the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan have developed a hybrid aerogel that can clean harmful gases in the air and heavy metals in water.
This environmentally friendly material, created on the basis of nanocellulose, due to its special structure, traps carbon dioxide (CO₂) gas and absorbs harmful substances in water.
According to experts, aerogel can also be used as heat and sound insulation in construction. Despite being very light, it is strong and resistant to high temperatures.
