Uzbek national dies after going for a swim in a river in Turkey
The body of an Uzbek citizen who drowned in a river in the Turkish city of Muğla has been recovered.
Reports indicate that the 21-year-old Uzbek man had gone to a river in the Seydikemer district to swim. Concerned after his son failed to return home for an extended period, the father went to the riverbank, found his son's clothes, and contacted the 112 emergency services.
Search and rescue teams, including divers, were deployed to the scene. The young man's body was subsequently recovered from the river and taken to the morgue for an autopsy. An investigation into the incident is currently underway.
