Uzbek citizen arrested in US on terrorism charges

US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has arrested Ahror Bozorov, a 31-year-old Uzbek national, on suspicion of terrorism. *Fox News* reports that Bozorov was wanted in Uzbekistan in 2022 for allegedly spreading jihadist propaganda online and encouraging people to join terrorism.
ICE officers arrested him on November 9 while he was working as a truck driver in Kansas. Bozorov crossed the US border illegally in February 2023, was apprehended by Border Patrol agents, but was later released. He has since obtained a work permit and commercial driver's license in the US.

In August, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced a temporary suspension of work visas for foreign truck drivers. According to him, the increase in the number of foreign drivers is a threat to safety and affects the income of American drivers.

The decision was made after a crash in Florida involving a truck driven by an illegal immigrant from India. The accident killed three people in the minivan. The driver was arrested and during interrogation could hardly answer road signs and simple questions.
