An unexpected dispute arose in Milas district of Muğla Province, Turkey, following a lavish wedding that lasted three days and three nights.

The Uzbek bride was allegedly accused of fleeing with gold jewelry worth around 4–5 million Turkish liras that had been put on her during the wedding.

After the groom’s family discovered that the bride and the gold jewelry were missing, they reported the incident to the prosecutor’s office. As part of the ensuing investigation, the bride was detained. However, she denied the allegations.

According to the bride, she had gone to her mother’s house and had taken only 20 quarter-gold coins and 226,000 liras with her. Police searched her home, but the other gold items reported missing were not found.

The whereabouts of the jewelry remain unknown. The investigation is ongoing.
