Uzbek and US financial institutions expand cooperation on strategic projects

As part of the Tashkent International Investment Forum, Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting with John Yovanovitch, President and Chairman of the US Eximbank, and Ben Black, CEO of the International Finance Corporation. 
The meeting discussed issues of financing strategic projects in the areas of infrastructure development in Uzbekistan, modernization of the energy system, development of important minerals, artificial intelligence and digitalization.

An agreement was also reached with the US Eximbank to accelerate joint projects in the energy sector and expand the volume of export credits for local entrepreneurs. In addition, investment initiatives of the DFC corporation in the healthcare, energy and infrastructure sectors were supported. At the end of the meeting, it was agreed to develop a joint "roadmap" for the promotion of investment and technological projects.
